~There are boys in our house-and Spiderman shoes and 200 papers in various blues. There's Bob (he's a builder) and Thomas the Train, a fireman coat to wear in the rain. They have cars on their shirts and frogs on their hats. There's a glove and a ball and a red plastic bat. There's dirt on a face and a smudge on a nose; grass stains on knees and sand between toes. There's bath time at night with bodies to scrub, and when we're all done there is dirt in the tub! There's band aids and bruises and curious bumps, smiles, laughter and sometimes there's grumps. There are odors most icky; there's boogers so green. There's more yucky things than I'll ever get clean. Piles of laundry; stories at night; there's bedtime and bathtime and dinnertime fights. There's cars and trains and there's books about trucks. There's Scoop, Lofty, Dizzy, and Travis, and Muck. Sometimes there are bugs, and sometimes there are frogs; sometimes there are lions, or dinos, or dogs. There's running and climbing and jumping and falling. Laughing and crying and hugging and brawling. Rolling and losing and finding and creeping. Whining and stealing and sometimes there's sleeping. There's tantrums and time outs and extra loud noise - There's love in our house shaped like two little boys.-Erin Jo Kilmer~

Is it May or January?

Cameron is sick with a nasty cold. He actually began coughing overnight and required a nebulizer treatment this morning. Poor kid. Besides the relentless snot and coughing you wouldn't even know he was sick.

I thought colds and flu's were over by May. Silly me.

What a weekend it was

We had a memorable weekend to say the least. The temperature was in the 70-80's both days and sunny!

We had t-ball practice on Saturday morning followed by a birthday party at the Y that night. Logan and I went because it was one of Logan's classmates. We had a great time.

Sunday, Logan and Cameron each had a friend over for a few hours. We had a picnic, rode 4-wheelers, and even swam in the brook across the road. Good times. The kids had a blast. We finished the day with a bbq at Josh's parents house. The boys practiced shooting a bow and arrow (kid one) and really enjoyed themselves.

This morning Cam awoke many times. Finally, when I got them up for the day he told me his belly hurt. Blah. The poor little guy is home today with daddy. Looking pretty crummy. Not eating anything and running a temperature. He even said his head and eyes hurt.

Cam needs a long streak of good health. It's about time.

This weekend Tammy and I are leaving for our annual girls weekend in VT. Josh will hang out with the boys and Sofia will stay with her daddy too. Just Tam and I. Exciting stuff! I'm looking forward to it and keeping my fingers crossed no one gets what Cam has. Whatever it is.

Presidency

The pre-school teacher and I were elected Co-Presidents of the PTO for Logan and Cam's school. I started with the PTO in the fall and really love participating. I've made some great friends and we've been involved in some pretty good stuff. I didn't want to be the Co-President at first, but after much coaxing from my fellow PTOers, I said yes. I hope I do the organization justice.

It has rained much of the week, but it's been spring-like. So, you'll hear no complaining from me.

Josh, unfortunately, got the stomach flu that Cameron had. Luckily, it was a much  more minor version (I'll spare you the details).

Logan's play was phenomenal the other night and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Logan was so proud of himself.

Here are some pics from the play.

4/28/12 Weekend Wrap-up

What a weekend to remember. Poor Cam threw up again Friday morning. Blah. Yuck. However, he has been good since then.

I headed to Dick's Friday after work to buy a left-handed baseball glove for the Logster. He was reluctant to play t-ball and didn't play last weekend. Josh and I coaxed him to at least try. Wouldn't ya know, the kid loves it. The boys had t-ball practice Saturday. It was chilly but sunny. They had a blast. Cam was still a little sluggish from being sick, but did great.

Saturday night Logan and I headed over to his classmates birthday party. It was a bbq and the kids had a great time. I had a great time. I love the parents in town and love hanging out with them. We relaxed next to a fire while the kids ran around like maniacs. We left at 8:30 p.m. (party started at 4:30 p.m.).

Yesterday we hung out around the house. I painted some boards for the Touch-A-Vehicle event that is coming up on Saturday, May 12th. The PTO is sponsoring the event so I'm quite involved in it. It's been fun planning it and I hope it's a success.

Tomorrow night I have a PTO meeting and then Wednesday is the boys second swim lesson. Followed by running over to Logan's school for his 2nd play show. He has one in the morning that Josh and Cam will go to. I can't get out of work and will go instead to the evening one with Josh's parents.

Life is crazy, and busy. I wouldn't have it any other way.

T-ball, swim lessons and puke oh my

This past Saturday (gorgeous weather that week, including Saturday) Cameron started T-ball. He loves it and we love going.

Last night the boys started swim classes. It's about time. I meant to start this earlier in their lives, but life kind of took over and here we are. The boys enjoyed themselves. Well, Logan did. Cameron shook the entire time. His little teeth chattered. He was warm. Come to find out he has the stomach bug. He woke at 1:30 a.m. and threw up. Josh and I cleaned him, his bed and his bedroom up and he was back out until this morning. So, he didn't get sick all night long thank goodness. He's home with daddy today. Sleeping on the couch as I type this.

Josh and I also signed up for life insurance. It's nice having that security. It was long overdue.

Here are some pictures from the last few weeks:
